“I feel like the kids are with family all day and I know they are loved and taken care of. In case you don’t hear it enough, I’m so happy with your leadership of Yad B’ Yad and the hard work your staff does each and every day.”

— Emily, mom of Avery (4) and zachary (3)

Our School

Yad B’Yad Children’s Center LLC at Temple Emanuel of Tempe is an independently owned and operated child development program offering partial and full-day education throughout the calendar year for children from 6-weeks-old to kindergarten entrance.

In the warm and nurturing environment of our school, highly-qualified teachers provide a developmentally-appropriate, comprehensive educational curriculum for young children within the context of Jewish stories and values. Yad B’ Yad Children’s Center addresses learning for the whole child and our overarching goal to imbue our students with confidence and curiosity to explore the world along with developing an understanding about their place within the world, their classroom, and the whole community guides our daily work.

“I adore your teachers (all of them) and am amazed with the kindness and true compassion shown towards the littles, regardless of what may be going on around them.”

— sandra, mom of beau (4)

We add greater challenges in all areas of development as children grow within our environment to prepare them fully for the academic rigors of school. We pride ourselves on a well-balanced, non-competitive approach to academics. A child’s unfolding development is our first and foremost consideration. We want our students to learn to love exploration and discovery as their foundation for future learning.

We use best practice standards recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and monitor quality annually with the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS).

We are also a Quality First school, committed to quality improvement, going beyond regulatory requirements to help the infants, toddlers and preschoolers in their care be ready for success in school and beyond.
