FRONT DESK SECURITY MONITOR

YBYCC seeks a Front Desk Security Monitor for the purpose/s of providing for the safety and welfare of children, employees and families and communicating observations and/or incidents that may impact a general well-being of students and school personnel. The ideal candidate will be welcoming and personable, capable and dependable. This employee will be fully trained in customer service as well as all necessary security measures; they undergo comprehensive training in wellness procedures and security techniques, including threat detection, de-escalation and response.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and public; good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

  • Successfully pass agility test for security staff

  • Must be able to pass background checks, reference checks, obtain a fingerprint clearance card and have a negative TB test result.

  • Current CPR/first aid card preferred, but not required.

Job Duties:

  • Observe and monitor physical premises, parking lot, backyard, building.

  • Issue parking permits and parking violation notices

  • Perform sweep duties when needed

  • Campus patrol; observe and monitor drop-off/picks ups

  • Greet Parents and Students at Entryway. Accept Package delivery. Turn away non-authorized personnel.

  • Obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR).

  • Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors by standing for long periods of time and for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and lifting to 15 lbs required to complete daily tasks.

ASSISTANT TEACHER

 Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work a consistent weekly schedule of 10-20 hours/week approx.11 am-6 pm Monday-Friday.
• Must be able to pass background checks, reference checks, obtain a fingerprint clearance card and have a negative TB test result.
• Current CPR/first aid card preferred, but not required.

Job Duties:
• The employee will implement age appropriate curriculum and daily activities.
• The employee will have good written and oral communication skills.
• The employee will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to parents.
• The employee will be a team player where they will interact all day long with children, parents and co-workers.
• The employee will be able to follow direction from the Directors and other Teachers on implementing daily activities, weekly lesson plans, creating a happy and nurturing environment and communicating with parents on a daily basis

Daily tasks include:
• Supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Preparing and setting up activities.
• Implementing portions of the daily program as directed by Lead Teacher or Director(s)
• Assisting in keeping the classroom, storage areas, and bathrooms clean, neat, orderly and sanitized.
• Attend monthly evening staff meetings
• Attend at least 20 hours of in-service training per school year.
• Know and follow the AZ State Regulations.
